When A Loved One Passes

Holding hands
Whether your loved one lost a battle with a prolonged illness or passed away suddenly, a loved one’s passing often leaves us shocked and confused, both of which can be immobilizing. Even simple decisions can seem overwhelming. Park View Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill will work with the funeral home of your choice, so together we can ensure that everything you need is expertly and carefully handled. We respect your time and your wishes because we understand how difficult a loved one’s passing can be on everyone. Our caring counselors at Park View Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill are here to help you through this most difficult time and will guide you in selecting a final resting place for your loved one.

If you are alone, we strongly suggest that you call a close family member or friend so someone can be with you in these first few hours.  Most importantly, they can be there to provide emotional support, but they can also arrange for childcare if necessary as well as helping with household tasks and meal preparations for you and your family.

We recommend that one of your first phone calls should be to a licensed funeral director.  If your loved one passes in a hospital or medical facility, most likely the staff will be willing to call the funeral home of your choice on your behalf.  If you and your family need assistance in selecting a funeral home, we can provide you with the contact information for local funeral homes.  Please call us at 609-654-8150.  We are available 24 hours a day.

We are always here for you, especially during this difficult time.  If there is anything we can do, any question that we can answer, any support that we can provide, please call us at 609-654-8150.  Our caring and knowledgeable staff are here for you 24 hours a day.
